Default Fairing repair

I bought my bike and it was being delivered by the former owner. 2004 CBR 600 F4i paid 3800 had 1500 miles. The bike fell over on the trailer and broke the mirror off and cracked the upper fairing. For the price I paid I was not that angry but I was wondering if anyone has any idea if I can just get it fixed and what it would cost or if I could buy a new upper front fairing already painted and if that would be cheaper? Also any ideas on how the mirrors with integrated blinkers look on the 2004?

Yes, the fairing can be repaired. Do a google on "Hotcha RepairKit". That is probably the best there is to fix it.

If you by a painted upper fairing from Ron Ayers, its gonna cost just under $500.Dealer is gonna cost about $700. If you know what your doing with epoxy andpaint you can fix it for much less, I would be pissed.

Daimian, you are probably right, but I got hosed twice on Ebay by sellers who were dumping junk fairings on Ebay. I bought the top and bothside fairing and all were to be without any damage. Wrong! I ended up repairing the original ones on the bike and also the damaged ones I bought off of Ebay. Now I have a complete spare fairing. The total investment though ended up being $700 to repair, paint and new decals, for both fairing sets together. I paid $350 for the complete, but damaged, Ebay fairing. The bike looks great now and Inow have that extra fairingset, but it did add to the price of the repairs. IMHO, repair what you have. You already know what you got.

I had a guy fix my front fairing and paint it for only $200. He painted it about ten shades darker that is was supposed to be, but the repair turned out great. I only had a crack where the right signal bolts on to the fairing. Good luck to you.
