Default F3 spark plug wire difficulty

Hi I'm new hear so I figure what better way to get to know you guys than to start asking questions right off the bat.
So, I recently bought a 98 cbr600f3 in some disrepair and have been slowly getting it cleaned up and back together with some mods. I am going for a street fighter since the plastics were mangled beyond repair.
My issue now is cylinders #2 and #4 are running rich. in the process of tracking down that problem I noticed my plug wires are hooked up with the left coil operating cylinder #1 & #2 and the right coil operating cylinder #3 & #4. (I have found a few threads on hear witch say the left coil should be hooked up to cylinder #2 & #3 and the right coil should be hooked up to #1 & #4) and thinking that may be at least part of my problem I tried to hook the wires up in the correct order. Only to find the longest plug wire coming of the right coil is not long enough to reach cylinder #1 although it is labeled with a #1 on the end. I'm not sure where to go from here so any help would be much appreciated.

The coil with the blue/yellow goes to the #2-#3 cylinders.
The coil with the black/white and yellow/blue goes to #1-#4 cylinders.

Another way of putting...it is the left goes to #2-#3
the right coil goes to #1-#4. So your research is correct.

Just to be clear...
Handness is determined while sitting on the bike.
the clutch lever is on the left, the brake lever on the right.

Someone may have pulled the plug-wires out of the coils and
re-arranged them and/or the caps. Other-wise, it should reach.
Or they may be after-market or substitued from a different bike.

Yeah I was thinking they might not be the original wires but they look like the ones on ebay people are selling off parts bikes.
I took a pic of the long plug wire but don't see how to upload it to this thread. I also measured the wire and it is approximately 12" long it will not even reach the #2 cylinder from the right side.
I don't expect any one to take there bike apart but if some one has there tank and air box off and felt like getting a measurement on the correct length so I could compare it to what I've got that would be great.
Bikebandit has the OEM wires for $50 each (that must be were the bandit comes in) and I have not been able to find after market wires anywhere.
So I'm thinking used on ebay I have already contacted a seller and asked how long the longest wire is so that may tell me what I want to know.

We'll see thanks for your help Ern

good news after rerouting some wires they reach the correct plugs and my bike now runs great. I have to say I'm amazed it run as good as it did with the wires all crossed up like that. Now it's on to getting it street legal.
