Well i picked up a targa cowl and it attaches to the seat using the leather strap on our seats but my bike seat doesnt have a strap! Anyone able to explain where that strap bolts on under the seat? Maybe a picture?

Mine does not have a strap on the seat & pics I have of the F2's does not show any there either.

 

i dont think the F3 had the seat strap as it has a one piece seat.

 

no the f3 did have a strap. I dont have any pics but I will see if I can find you one. The seat has bol holes in it.

 

my 98 f3 definately has a strap on the stock seat

Thanks for the reply guys, im pretty sure ive seen them with and without. I can just use a nylon strap or old belt and bolt it to the bottom of the seat to hold the targa cowl on, was just hoping someone had some pics.

Ty for that pic andy, any idea how it attaches on yoru bike? Im thinkin it just wraps around and bolts on.

there should be two small bolts coming down from the seat directly above the 12mm bolts holding the seat on. mine went through a

Thats why mine doesnt have the strap it is the Uk/Eu model and has the grab rail at the back. Makes sense when i think about it. I have never seen them with the strap so i thought all were the same, but there were small differences.
