Default F3 Radiator does not fit properly?

Hey folks, happy new year! I have a very strange problem I've got a little bit sick of as its just not how the bike was intended. My radiator on the f3 has never fit properly, the flanges are far too wide no matter how I try make it fit, its always an inch out on one side, its definitely the right radiator!

Any suggestions? Are they supposed to have spacers?

Yep, each one of those rubbers is 1/2" wide, so 1" total.

These lets you mount radiator without it ever touching frame and breaking off mounting ears from vibration. Radiator only touches rubber.

Hey Ham, yeah those grommets are both on there, do they fasten on the outside on both sides if that makes sense?

Hey Danno, there is still far too much space left on either side! Its really weird how it just doesn't fit, its the second radiator and second frame too and still the same issue, have tried fitting it several times!

This flange I’ve had to bend in slightly to align the bolt just to secure the radiator but not by much

Looks like you have the correct hardware. There should be zero gap though. If you are certain it’s the correct radiator then the only thing left is the mounting brackets are bent. There should be angle on them. The frame brackets should point straight forward and the radiator brackets should point straight backwards.

Radiator bracket in 2nd photo is definitely bent inwards. Probably from crash. Are they removeable from radiator?

I'd remove radiator and measure space between mounting ears. Then bend both brackets on radiator and frame until they line up. Brace radiator bracket so no forces are transmitted to radiator when bending.

Yeah I bent the 2nd bracket just to get a bolt through it and secure it, it’s so odd. Has anyone ever bought one of those new replica radiators from eBay? Thinking of investing as they’re only £100 and mine is absolutely knackered

Possibility they sent you wrong one? Send them measurements and see if they've got one that fits.
