Default F3 Problems

So I bought a 95 F3 a couple months ago and have enjoyed it for 1500 miles till now. I was cruising with some people and all of a sudden the bike died and I coasted till it stopped. Tried cranking it over and it would spit and sputter but wouldn't fire. Sat there and made some phone calls and it started right up and i rode a few miles and it started to spit and sputter and died. Let it sit started right up and made it home running normal. It was fine for a few days then it did it again and i tried restarting it and the battery died from me cranking it over. So i put it on the battery charger the next day and it started and i had it idling and it died. Got it to run and it would spit and sputter over 3 grand. It died but it would restart but when you'd let the clutch out it'd die. Let it sit, started it again and it ran normal so i just put it away. Any ideas what it could be? I'm new to bikes so i really don't have a clue or anyone to help without spending more then what the bikes worth at a dealer.

does it smoke black and bog down before it die's? If it does then you could have a float bowl sticking, flooding it out and when it sits and clears all the gas it starts up. If not then I would most likely start at the fuel pump, looking for problems...

Bypass the fuel pump and see what happens. My bike was having similar issues and finally it just crapped out. I bypassed the fuel pump was able to limp home. Grant the performance was effected, but it was better than a tow. If the problem goes away, look into the fuel pump rebuild.

no it doesn't smoke but it acts like it runs out of gas. I am experiencing some pressure in the tank from time to time which leads me to vapor lock possibly the breather is clogged?
