new guy,new problems!
Hey guys, I got ahold of a 96 f3 yesterday, and its my first street bike. I am really looking forward to warm weather this spring. But anyways, I did the typical. I dropped it in the garage. Actually I was no where near it when it fell over, but it still fell over. My shifter bent just a hair, I tweeked it back a touch to where it should be but my nuetral indicator on my dash quit working. Anyone have any ideas? -Brandt
probably broke the filament in the bulb...how the hell did it fall over???
If it is in neutral and its not lit thats my best guess...for that your gonna have to take apart your gauges and replace the bulb in there.

I had the wheel turned the wrong way. I was on the other side of the garage and it just fell over. I'm not 100% sure. It seems to be a loose wire. I had it out for alittle while today and it came back, and went away and came back again.
yea I am going to dig into it here this evening. A bike is entirly different than anything ive messed with in the past. I've always built cars and trucks. I got rid of my v8 s10. to get my bike. I needed a change of pace. and i think this is exactly what the doctor ordered.
the neutral light is connected to a sensor, that I think is somewhere near the sprocket cover. you might pull apart the cover and look for a wire that is loose/unplugged or making intermittent contact with its sensor.
probably a good idea to pull the sprocket cover anyways and clean inside there real good to get the old chain lube and caked on dirt/gunk out of it.
