f3~f4i temp reading high? swapped sensors..
Did the f4i gauage swap awhile back, finally got around to ordering the 900rr sensor for the temp gauage. I broke the old sensor trying to take it out so I did what was sugguested and made an inline t to the rad hose. Plugged it in but the temp goes up to the 100s and fan doesn't kick in.
I let it get to around 120 then switch the fan on manually because i'm not sure how high it'll go before turning on. Wasn't sure if it was suppose to go pass 100 so kinda nervous to leave it running to see what number it'll make it kick on. Sorry for the story figure I'd explain everything.
Am I suppose to ground it out or something? I used a copper pipe to screw the sensor in, so i'm not sure if the copper is effecting the reading. I doubt it but could be wrong. Any ideas? Will it kick on after 150 degrees?

temp reading may be off a little, copper transfers heat so you may be reading the temp off the pipe and not the liquid.
I'm not sure of the temp that it should be kicking on at, what you need to know is this sensor does not control the fan, the sensor that controls the fan is in the radiator. The sensor that you replaced for the 900rr is just for displaying temp on the gauges.
