Paul, there is a tutorial furthur up in this thread.... it might be very helpfull to read from the very beging to see all the troubles that people might have had... i posted on 7-6-09 everything that you'll need to purchase for this swap... again just an FYI "all" if your trying to do this conversion on an F2 this gauge is not for you... the difference is bc the f2 has a mechanical speedo vs the f3 digital... even thow it may look it.

It looks like the entire CBRWorld forum is down at the moment. Maybe they are just doing some maintenance or something? Lets keep our fingers crossed that its not shut down that was the best tutorial ive came across for the swap I was planning on using it as well

I believe the only way to adjust it is to send it away.

copy and paste that into a new window if it doesnt work.. i just tested it.. i did the swap using this tutorial and everything worked fine. havent rode yet though because im also swapping on an 05 R1 front end... (yes i know its been done and i've spoken with that person, I did do mine slightly different though)

anyway, where i'd like to point some attention to is the pink and the extra ground wire in this tutorial. it says to ground them out which is fine, I did, and i think its the pair valve thats opening and closing. didnt notice this in the tutorial. IS it the pair valve and what effect does grounding these out have? or should the valve just be removed altogether? sorry i stole the post but you're gonna come to the same point!

Hey Guys
I know this subject has been done to death but I promise I have a new question that no one has asked before or at least I have not seen.
If I buy a guage set from the USA can I change the display from MPH to KMPH? is there a switch on the back of the pannel or a setting etc.
I really want to do the swap but the guages are sooooo exspensive from here in Australia even at wreckers, and if I bought a set from the US ebay I didn't want to be running in miles all the time.

Please help I am iching to do this mod.

Short answer: YES!! Check out my website (http://www.omninate.com/cbr600f3/). Under the gauge swap section I wrote up some basic instructions on using the functions of the gauges. Switching between KM and MI is super simple!
