f3 conversions?
I dont know anything about f3's and Im pickin one up from my friend so I can have something to stunt, what changes can you make to an f3 to make it better? For example would it be possible to use different forks like from an f4 or soemthing, and any other little conversions??

RE: f3 conversions?
I don't know why you would want to swap forks, honestly. I know the rear plastics are interchangeable, as well as the cluster with the white face tach.
I guess you could jet the carbs, put a K&N filter on it, a new exhaust and a chain and sprocket kit. One thing you might want to do just to get it out of the way, buy yourself a manual cam chain tensioner with gasket. The F3's are notorious for the hydraulic tensioner collapsing. It's a $50 part and makes a world of difference.
I would also imagin you would want to keep the wheels and tires/suspension the same. You're going to be messing with bike balance and geomotries when you go changing that stuff - just leave it. The F3 is a badass bike - you won't be disapointed.
I'd ****** up a double bubble windscreen as well. If you plan on road trips - plus it looks much better. Have fun with it - show us some pics when you get it.
EDIT: I also took off the rear tire hugger as well as the chain guard - makes it seem more raw to me. I like it that way. Though you may need at least the chain guard on there for inspection purposes.
RE-EDIT: Just noticed you're going to stunt the bike. Get a -2/+5 sprocket kit on it, replace the cam chain tensioner and call it a day.

RE: f3 conversions?
"make it better"...is too broad....better to stunt with...? I woudl think brakes would be the only thing you really need....EBC HH pads and some stainless lines will give you some serious "woooo".
I have an F4i front end on my F3 project....more because its what I found the best price on for forks than anything else...the F3 was a class leading bike for a lot of years.
I think clean F3 parts are worth more than F4i parts (wheels, rotors, forks etc)...the F4i is still made and so there are 6 years worth of parts out there...twice as long as the F3.
I've got a "stunter" grade rear wheel if you want it instead of risking damage to your good one.
Good luck,
JB
