Cool F3 600 restoration project

Hey everyone I'm new to this forum and new to the Honda world. I have a 1996 Honda CBR600F3, it is my first Honda, and I will be restoring it from the literal ground up. There are some performance parts that I've looked up online but I just cannot find. If anyone knows where I can find some of these parts please let me know:

high performance camshafts intake/exhaust
extended swing arm that will fit this bike
digital instrument cluster
higher amp rated stator kit.

This list will grow, but for now if anyone can direct me towards where I can find these parts, the Rubo will greatly appreciate it

welcome to the forums! have any pics of your new ride?

as for parts, ebay is your best friend.
a cheap cam upgrade is to move the f3's intake to the exhaust side, and buy an f4i intake cam for the intake side.
do you plan on drag racing? otherwise an extended swing arm is pointless and kills handling.
Swapping to F4i gauges is a pretty common and fairly easy mod to do.
as for the stator, Ricks motorsports stators would probably be your best bet, never used one but have heard nothing but good from them.

good luck with your bike!

Hi sjona2011, you're awesome; thank you. I knew I came to the right place for info. Actually I was trying to upload some pix but for some reason it didn't let me. Hopefully I'll be able to post some soon, and keep everyone posted on updates to the project. I was intrigued by swapping out of camshafts, it sounds ingenious. Thanks again for these tips, I'll definitely use them.

Hey rubo, how's it going. I am currently redoing my f2. I usually check ebay for my parts. You live around the corner from me. I live in Norfolk. Would love to see pics of the progress of your f3. I have some pics of mine on here somewhere but I'm not good with posting pics. My brother has a 97 f3. Oh yeah, my f2 has an extended swingarm on it. It came like that when I bought it.

Hey colesdaddy02 I see your fam's a big fan of CBRs, that's cool. Maybe when I get mine up and running we could ride out. As far as the pix I'm having trouble uploading them, but this project is gonna take some time anyways. I'm going all out, gonna getting some machine-work done by Mcbride and the guys at APE; this is going to be one of the baddest 600s in the Hampton Roads area bra. As far as the swing arm, I've never been a fan of extended ones, but on this particular bike I think it'll look good; don't want a full extension though, just a little more than than stock. If you ever want to get rid of your swing arm let me know, maybe we could swap and I'll put some cash to make up the diff.

I don't think i'll be getting rid of my swingarm, I like the stance it gives the bike. Plus my bike is lowered about 2 inches with about a 4 inch extension . I don't have any engine work done, it's all stock except for a delkivic carbon fibre slipon. Good luck with your build. I'll keep checking your progress.
