Default F2 and F3 compatability?

OK I used the search button and found nothing so far, I'm looking at putting a stock 1992 F2 can on a 1997 F3...Anyone know if they will fit? I looked on Bikebandit and they have different part numbers listed so I dunno. I have a Erion can on it now, but here in Germany you need baffles to pass inspection. So... I need something to make the inspector happy. I can get a stock F2 can for around $30 on fleabay, just wondering. Thanks!

I would think it would fit, your basically looking at doing the same thing as with your after market.
Never done it myself, but just looking at the pics in my manual, it would seem straight forward.
If your only going to do it for the inspection, which is a ride there & back, why not.
