Are F2 carbs different from F3 carbs?
Sorry if this has already been answered somewhere. Not sure how I would go about searching for that using the Search option. Curious because Im in possession of a F3 engine Im parting out, but I think the carb is possibly from a F2. Just want to be certain so I dont go saying it's from a F3 when it isnt. Thx.
I wish it was that easy. I cant find anything stamped on the carbs. Ive heard the F2 and F3 carbs are interchangeable, but since I dont own either, I dont want to go saying something that isnt true.
There are numbers on there, trust me. Like Keihin VG22A or something like that may be stamped on them, on the part just above the float bowls. THERE IS ALWAYS A MODEL # STAMPED ON THEM SOMEWHERE. yours it may be obscured under some dirt.
I'm pretty sure they are the same. Infact when at my mechanics place he started to look something up about the carbs and said "F2". I corrected himand said itwas a F3 and he said they both are the same.
Only markings I see is a "VP" above the Keihin logo and "41A" stamped in each of the carb bodies just above the float bowls.
Edit: Ok. Looks like they are F2 carbs.
