Here is a video i took today. It has gotten significantly louder over the past 2 days and today whilst riding it started making a metalic rattling sound also. The bike sometimes seems to hesitate when accelerating. but not always.

Could it be a loose inlet rubber?

No its not as you describe. I used a screwdriver as a stethoscope today and cannot work out where its coming from. The top end sounds perfect through the screwdriver.

Did you ever replace your plugs? You mentioned you had some new ones.

It does sound a little like a fouled plug to me. That's why I asked.

Sounds like your CCT to me. It's a very chainy-slappy sound.

reassuring! I have ordered an APE. But wouldn't it make a ticking/slapping noise even when decelerating? or is it just that the chain is taught when decelerating?

Regarding the bad running, have you checked your battery? I thought mine had serious running issues due to having been sitting around before I bought it, until one day it wouldn't fire up but it started with a jump off my car, so off I went and put a new battery in, runs perfectly now.
