Default emissions and breather hoses??

hey guys, i was just going trough the FSM and noticed, the breather and return line for the tank... what i noticed is that i did not have them. the tab is there but the hoses werent conected to the tank when i removed it,
shold i find em and reconect them? im guessing yes right?

and i wanted to know if those litle side filters and little lines are necesary, they look like emissions or something. because in cars when you take those things off, sometimes it helps (specially on imports) i just wanted to know if they are necessary before i start taking **** off......

I do not have any answers for you, lafkofsky, but I'm glad that you asked. I am actually curious of this myself. I do not have a breather hose or a return line coming from my tank either. Just the direct fuel line that connects to the petcock.

you need to at least reconnect the smaller (.25") hose. It connects to the EVAP canister and you will be smelling a strong gasoline scent at every stop light if you do not reconnect it.
