Default AIR BREATHER HOSES

just a quik and easy question? can any1 tell me where the 1/2inch air breather hose that runs out the left side under the carbs is meant to go. it mentions the hoso in the manuel but does not state where this goes. i just cleaned my cct after it started to get a bit noisy after a 3500km round trip to qld and bloody hell what a difference. its like a new bike. i think this may now become part of my regular top end maintanance. what abike mine was bought with 30,000ks and has now just turned over 53,000ks all trouble free. the bike for the real sports rider comfy and damn fast

Not 100% sure on your bike but on most bikes you'll have a breather hose running to the air box. Can any of you Hurricaners verify this?

It sounds like the carb bowl vent hose. It just hangs down, open to atmosphere. The routing on my '90 is to the top left frame rail captured with a tab that's on the frame rail, in the proximity of the front of the air box. The hose follows the top side of that frame rail, around the airbox, and then down between a couple of verticle ribs on the front side of the battery tray, capturing it in that position. The total length is such that the tube hangs down to about the bottom of those guide ribs, about a half of the total height of the battery tray. Hope that helps.
