Default No breather or overflow hoses connected to the tank?

Today I decided to take my tank off (for the first time since I've owned it) to change the air filter, and I noticed there is not an air vent tube (breather hose) or an overflow hose connected to the bottom of the tank. I also don't see a catch tank for the air vent tube. I am looking around to purchase these but could someone send me a picture so I can see where the tank goes? Also any ideas on where to buy the hoses and tank?

They should be just bulk hose that runs out the bottom of the bike. They are available at auto part stores by the foot. Get 3 feet of each and cut to fit. Note the sizes though, they are different.

Thanks demon,
So to be clear there isn't a catch tank? Do you know what sizes the hoses are?

The vent line goes to an EVAP canister on California models. The rest just vent to atmosphere. Most of us in California remove the canister anyway.

I don't know right off what size they are. Take a look and give it your best guess. I think the tank vent is 5/32" and the fill area drain might be 1/4". Don't quote me on that though...

ran to the local auto parts store and they were "out" of the hoses. I got a few weeks til the new tank comes in, so I think I'll be alright.
oh do you know if there are steering stops for the bike or a way to keep your bar from resting on the tank while parked? I asked in another forum, but it never got answered.

Out of hose? That's bs. Go to an auto shop or another parts store. Every shop, including mine, has a rack of rolls of different size hoses. When you get the new tank, take it with you and size them up. Throw a mechanic a few bucks for few pieces. I'd just give it to you, if you came to my shop, especially if you were one of my customers.

As far as stops, there should be something. On mine, not an F3 though, the tripple clamp hits the frame before anything hits the tank.

Hopefully someone with and F3 chimes in with specifics. Where is idodirt when you need him? Lolk
