I'd start at the "Start Switch". The wires have been known to come loose from their solder joints. It is something that you can repair rather than have to replace if it turns out that's it.

You may have a dead/bad battery. Take a volt meter and test the voltage of the battery. If it's low (12.3 or less), you'll need to put the battery on a trickle charger. These little batteries don't like the cold and will lose their charge if left in the cold for a couple months. If the battery has a bad cell, it could lose the charge in a week or even overnight.

I know this may sound off the wall but assuming all your electrical stuff comes on when you turn the key on, you may want to remove the starter and investigate if it turns when the start button is pushed when not installed in the engine... it is not uncommon for these engines to have the starter idler gear which rests on the long oil jet in the stator cover to become dislodged and sieze the engine, or at least make it seem like that. if the starter turns then not in the engine, then put it back in and try to clutch start the bike. if it fires up, remove the stator cover and look at the long oil jet and see if it's race is broken.
