Smile A couple questions

Hey guys. I have a couple questions for you. Where does this hose go that I am holding? does it connect up to the hose on the side of the CBR? Also, I noticed on the airbox that it said there is a pair control valve that looks like it goes in front of the manifold. It shows it as a tiny box with 6 tubes connected to it. Can someone show me a picture of it? I might need to buy one because I don't see one on this bike since it was crashed. Anyway, here is the pic.Name: IMG_20111025_134635.jpg

Default Additional Info

Didn't see the T-connector the first time. There is another hose that connects it to the one already on your bike in the pic. The one you are holding sits under the headlight assembly and T's off to 2 other hoses that connect to the a left and right intake inlet that is mounted to the fairing.

Thanks. BTW it is a 98 CBR F3. Would it be the same? I also don't completely understand what you are talking about. Is it a seperate box that goes in front of the radiator? Can you upload a pic of it please? I'll most likely have to buy this with the hoses and mounting equipment.

Default Clarification

Referring to the first pic you uploaded:

Basically this is the DAI system for the RAM Air system new to CBRs in 1995. The hoses must seal well between connectors or you'll think it's the solenoid. What will happen is it will rev like a champ in neutral. Full power up to 25mph then just not want to go anymore.

See attachment below for clarification.
The hose in your hand is Part #1 and Part #12. The hose attached to the frame is Part #10 and Part #16.

Bike Bandit web site for OEM parts:
http://www.bikebandit.com/houseofmot...m2044#sch39610.
Scroll right and look for the "Solenoid Valve" schematic. The part #'s won't match my info because the site's numbers are for their ordering info only.

Thank you! It's a relief that I only have to buy a couple of hoses.

You're welcome. Post pics when you got her together. Looking forward to seeing another iteration custom of the F3!

BTW, check this one out. Love this look. Trying to order the plastics from this guy.
