Yea, you can bend it, but this type of aluminum is not very forgiving to bending. It usually just cracks n breaks. I would get a new one. Try ebay, i got one clip on for $15.

You can do the Vortex thing but you need to remember the bars are going to be smaller in diameter which means possibly new bar controls (turn signal perch, clutch perch, throttle tube, throttle/front brakeperch, etc.).

You can get all of that stuff aftermarket but some of it adds up quick. You can get controls and stuff all day long for cheap but usually aftermarket perchs' mean aftermarket levers - which can get pricey.

Good luck!

Actually, the vortex clip-ons (and most aftermarket clip-ons for that matter) use the same diameter tubing as stock, so it'll bolt up just fine. The only thing you need to do is drill them for the switch housings. Unfortunately the newer vortex's don't work with our master cylinder, so he'd have to get something like a woodcraft.

Yea ive heard something about the non-compatability of a supposidly compatable vortex clip on. ive just been staying away from them so i dont have to deal with it.
