Default Changing Fuel filter

I want to change my fuel filter as I think that it is causing problem with my bike. But I am at a stand still because I do not know how to get to it. I know that the seat is bolted down so I have to take the tail plastics off. How do I go about doing that? Is it bolted on or what?

The tail cowlings have to come off before you can get to the seat bolts. Loosen the 1/4 turn fasteners located on the bottom of your tail cowlings. Then, the cowlings will come off by pulling them outward (they are attached by plastic tabs that go in rubber grommets). There's one near the front of the cowling, one in the middle toward the bottom, and one at the rear toward the bottom. Be careful where the tail cowling attaches to the rear tail center piece. You have to pull outward on the tail cowl to disengage the plastic tabs.

Quick question....do you not have an owners manual??

Thats correct. If I had one I would not have asked the question. I have never owned a manual as all my bikes have been bought used.

I have an owners manual on my computer. If you give me your email address, I'll send it to you
