Chain & Sprocket Combo
#12
Not sure mate, it'll have a better initial acceleration but will be revving a bit higher (may be 1.5-2kRPM's higher) then with stock front sprocket.
Is it 14T you have at the front or 15T at the moment?
Its either drop 1 at the front or add 3 at the back, same difference to the final gear ratio.

Stix, if you go to this site.... gearingcommander.com .... you can input all the different gearing combinations you're thinking about and see exactly what it will do to your rpms at different speeds, gears, chain, etc.
It looks like I may go with -1 front +1 back. Here's a comparison at, what I call, cruising speed.
Stock: 15F 43R 6800 RPM=85.5mph
Custom: 14F 43R 6800 RPM= 79.8mph
Custom2: 14F 44R 6800RPM= 78
So to cruise the same MPH (approximately) I would have to buzz the motor an additional 520 RPM.. I don't think that's all bad what do you guys think? Is it even worth going +1 in the year?
Once again, I appreciate all the replies.. I will definitely go with the 520 conversion.. Thanks for the recommendation on that!!!

im almost positive when i bought mine it was +2 in the rear. because at the time i didnt even know how to ride (i had my friend drive it back from the buyer haha), let alone know anything about how anything worked. but i know that made the speedometer run high, 80-85 on my speedo was actually somewhere around 60. I dont know how easy it is to calibrate it (i just bought a new chain and sprockets), but just some food for thought.

16/45 is on also. i have no adjustment on my healer and it is gps confirmed. i thought i would need adjustment with this gearing, but that wont be required until i put the stock gearing back on it..(f4i already installed)
