cct adjustment when re-shimmed?

Hi Guys, with my new bike I have receipts to show it was re-shimmed 2k miles ago by a professional. So my question is: would this job involve a cct adjustment? Obviously this isn't a job I've done.
Any ideas very welcome
Cheers

Ps - rode my f3 for the first time on thursday evening and I was really impressed with it. Everything works as it should. The brakes, suspension, acceleration and cornering are noticeably different and better than the hurricane I had. What a bike!

Hi bud, yeah I can hear the cam chain a little. My logic for asking the question about the shims goes like this: if the cct is removed to take the cam shafts off to do the shims then it would have been put back by a professional just 2k miles ago. If the cam chain was ok then I wouldn't be hearing it. In other words I'm wondering if after the work the cam chain is stretched anyway.
I probably don't make much sense eh?

umm... well, Id bet that when he went to take the CCT off he reloaded the spring tension and wound it up and it might just be sticking a little. That's apparently what usually happens when they're on their way out, the spring tension inside isn't enough to push the piston out anymore. If it's the stock automatic CCT, and you're hearing cam chain rattle on the right hand side at operating temperature at idle, then its probably time to change it. The aftermarket manual ones are cheap enough and simple as pie to do, there's even a really good sticky on this page about swapping it out. It can't hurt and on older bikes this seems to just be included in basic maintenance.
