CBR600F3 -97 bad engine response when warm
Hi.
I'm new to this forum and hopes that you guys can help me to find out what to do with my CBR600F3.
I haven't been using the bike so much the last years due to a new family member born 2007. Perhaps one or two shorter rides each summer. This year I decided to put it to good use again. But this year it didn't run as good as it used to.
The symptom is like this. When it's cold, it runs perfectly. Good throttle response all the way from idle. But when temperature rises to normal, then the response is very poor from lower revs. It could best be described like it sounds as it has a sore throat, not able to scream clearly. If I keep the revs high, over 5000rpm, then it's no problem.
My first thought is that I need to clean the carburetors. Due to little usage over the last years, the fuel in the tank was quite old when I took it out this summer. I also think about changing the spark plugs, because that was not done in the larger service at 24000 km.
Do you have any ideas on where to start looking?
Thank you in advance.
BRG/Mike
