Default won't start when the engine is warm.. why?

Hello brothers

i got my CBR last thursday and have been driving like crazy so i actually don't know the bike very well, so i was hoping anyone of you guys(girls) did

But there is a thing that is really annoying.. it starts perfect when cold or less warm. But if i have been driving and go to the tank station to get som gas, then it won't start again.. really confusing. It will start really easy if i run it to start.

Another thing is i can hear the difference on the starter engine when it won't start and it starts.. it's like it runs faster the times it actually starts and slower when it won't start. I would think it was a battery problem.. can anyone confirm this teori?

i stille have some warranty from the dealer.. but if it's only a battery i can fix it myself or else i have to give it back for a week or so to let him fix it.. and i can't do that.. the weather is to good [8D]

hope anyone can help

Don't think it's the battery,
I have heard of this before, something about fuel vaporising from the carbie's when hot

No cause the bike is cold, that sound to me like your flooding it, my bike start with no throttle when hot.
When cold, I just need a little bit of throttle , or no throttle and some choke.

I find my bike a little nackie to start on throttle, but easy with choke.

You say the engine doesn't turn over as fast when hot as when cold? I've heard of that before, but for the life of me can't remember what causes it. It isn't fuel related, though. Nor is it related to the battery. Something to do with carbon build up? Or was it . . . dang!! I just don't remember. It is the result of increased resistance to turning over when hot, but the reason escapes me. Sounds like you need to talk to a mechanic.

Change the Plugs and clean/Replace the Air Filter and see what happens.
I read somewhere that the carbie/choke can slightly effect the speed of the starter, I can't remember what they said, it was on this site somewhere.

Me again. Still curious about your starter motor turning over more slowly when hot than when cold. To satisfy that curiousity I talked to a mechanic who said, "Check the starter." His claim is that sometimes the armature will drag on the fields when hot. This leads to excessive current draw for the starter, leaving less to fire spark plugs. The result is a non-starting engine. When the engine and starter cool down the starter will again spin freely, so there is enough current available to fire the plugs. Sounds reasonable to me, and the mechanic is one I trust and respect.
