But what's odd with your situation is that it barely fires. Usually it will either want to start or start and run like garbage.
I’m pretty frustrated with it too. Like I said, three weeks ago, it ran like a new bike, I move to the corner of shed to clean up, three weeks later it won’t catch. Occasionally backfire. I’m gonna but large can of carb cleaner and go at it again

when it backfires, is it through the exhaust or the carbs?
Exhaust indicates you are rich.
Carb indicates lean or a potential timing issue.
Edit. I corrected my comment. I was trying to do too many things at once.

Every time I run into this issue, I just replace the spark plugs and everything is back to normal.
Not sure why my bike loves to foul spark plugs. Maybe I'm leaving choke on for too long?
I would try replacing the plugs, even if they look good.

tried plugs, all are firing, and it fires every so often with backfire through exhaust . Gonna do carb thing again
