Cbr f3 600
I have an f3 also. The carbs, when clean and dialed in are awesome. But they can be tough to get that way, especially the cleaning part. The passages in there are so tiny that the smallest thing can clog something.
But what's odd with your situation is that it barely fires. Usually it will either want to start or start and run like garbage.

when it backfires, is it through the exhaust or the carbs?
Exhaust indicates you are rich.
Carb indicates lean or a potential timing issue.
Edit. I corrected my comment. I was trying to do too many things at once.

Every time I run into this issue, I just replace the spark plugs and everything is back to normal.
Not sure why my bike loves to foul spark plugs. Maybe I'm leaving choke on for too long?
I would try replacing the plugs, even if they look good.
