Default CBR Carb Question

Was removing the carbs the other day for cleaning cause i have a bad issue with my 1996 CBR600f3 sputtering and busting out at higher rpms and when removing i notices 2 lines that were on the carbs when removed it looked as if it was antifreeze. Is this correct or is this a huge problem that ive ran into.

No worries. There is a hose that runs antifreeze to the carbs and the other is a return.

I haven't had this problem before, but from seeing others posting on here, I would check the fuel pump relay.... Just a thought.

yea i second that, unless the bike has been sitting for a really long time... or idk, if you really think its the carbs then clean them.

but the fuel pump could be the problem the bike will sputter and die and one time left me stranded an hour and a half from home. and i had to replace the pump a few weeks later. so you should check that out or bypass the pump and try riding the bike. hopefully you get it going...

Make sure all the equalizer hoses are hooked up. They are the hoses that go from the airbox to the carburetor. If they are not hooked up, your bike won't run worth a crap.

Does your bike have a problem at high rpm or when you get some speed?

i have that same problem and mine only happens in like third gear or higher when the bike is at operating temp. it will sputter and barely even run, than if i pull the clutch in, it sometimes will stall out, but after like 5 minutes it goes away and i can ride it normal....
