I have a 96 F3 with 6500 miles on it. Recently I noticed the smell of gas around it on hot days. Two days ago I found fuel leaking out of the right side of the bike and dripping down onto the kick stand. Found the fuel pump leaking at the seam. Question is, Has anyone had a fuel pump problem and just went to gravity feed. I am not currently racing the bike, I usually ride the speed limit (lots of deer) and we only have a few weeks maybe a month before snow flies. I live in the U. P. of Michigan. The pump is around $145.00 from the dealer. I would rather buy the pump in the spring if I can. Thanks for any help.
