Default (Carbs) Plug it?

Okay, while waiting for UPS I went poking around trying to ID things on my carbs. Correct me if I'm wrong, pls!

Hey Kuroshio. . .maybe your carbs would work if you quit sticking your fingers in them all the time. I bet those things got more miles on them than your BIKE does! Ever consider a more relaxing hobby, like needlpoint or scrapbooking?

Naaaah... Needlepoint could end badly for anyone near me when I'm pissed.

Did learn couple things today though:
  1. Never trust your friend to do 'easy' stuff on your bike while you work something more difficult
  2. Dunno why they were like this but the pilot adjust screws were all over the map

My bud dropped by and gave me a 'hand'. Dunno what he muffed but when I put everything back on the bike and cranked her, she started dumping gas all over the place. Think the carbs aren't fully seated (something I let him do). Ran out of daylight so I can't pull the airbox back off and reseat them myself.

The dynojet stage 1 kit instructs you to close the 'fuel mixture' tabs till it seats then open them back 1/2 turn. Considering the tool they provided was a d-wrench, I'm assuming they meant the pilot screw. On the carbs they were open from 2 1-2 turns to me losing count on carb 4's screw.

Make sure the float bowl drain screws are tight. I forgot to run them back in Saturday when I installed my jet kit....

Ya. Thought about it for a minute (loose carbs != gas spillage) and went out with a flashlight and a long flathead.

While I was putting the e-clips and spacers on the needles, he was supposed to be closing the float drains.... Especially the #2 float drain
