I put the left side caliper pistons in backwards. Any suggestions?
also, tend to be making a mess with the pour out of this DOT4 Preston bottle. Any suggestions or tips here? Making a mess.
I have an intuition I will have to prime and bleed the system, use an empty and dry 500ml water bottle to pour. Once the pistons come out have a bucket underneath to catch all the fluid. With gloves turn the pistons around and place back inside. Clean the mess and re-bleed?

Thank you AI1040, this helped so much. Used a Joe Blow bicycle tire / sports ball needle pump. Had to re-insert the one piston that kept coming out before the other to get both out about 5 or 6 times.
many tips for refilling the complete front brake system with fluid? I’ve bled for a while and the pistons haven’t budged however the lines have fluid when you crack them loose fluid pours out.
Gave the neighbors a little boom crackle show this morning blowing this out. Happy 4th of July AI1040!!!

Fantastic, glad it worked. As for the bleeding, just have to keep at it. It does take a long time.
If you dont get it done today, tie the brake level back towards the bar and leave overnight as it will allow the air to migrate to the reservoir and escape which will help.

seems to take a while since I have an aftermarket eBay reservoir and is there a step procedure the outside further steps from the brake lever left side first then the right? I notice big bubbles and after about crack 14 no more bubbles and no progress however the brake fluid keeps flowing.
It took me about 40 mins continual pumping of the lever before the brakes started to get firm.
I presume that you have some sort of one way bleed valve attached to the bleed nipple.
You just have to keep pumping as there is still air in there.
As I said before if you have been at it a while, close off the bleed valve tie the lever back, leave it overnight then continue in the morning, the air should be out by then and then just keep pumping as each pull of the lever only moves the pistons a tiny bit whilst topping up the reservoir.
AI1040 you mean the calipers will eventually fill up with fluid just very slowly? About how much brake fluid is this? I’ve pumped about 30-40 pumps and cracking open the bleed valve. The brake pads haven’t begun to clamp down on the rotor yet.
If I remember correctly it was hundreds of pumps to get the pistons to finally get them to clamp on the pistons.
AI1040 This means I may use a whole bottle of brake fluid just pushing out the air bubbles and filling them with fluid? How many bottles would you recommend using? 🫣🫡🤣. Will you see bubbles for all of those pumps. I stopped seeing bubbles. Is there an express way to fill these I’m sure the dealer doesn’t spend this long bleeding.
I have a tiny master cylinder may be time to swap to a remote reservoir that has adjustable acclivity.
