Default Breather on gas tank?

HI, I have a problem with my bike that on the open road it starts getting fuel starvation. It starts splattering and eventually it dies. Last night I discovered the problem. I opened the gas cap to check if there was gas left and it give a big gasp fir air so there was a vacuum in the tank. Obviously the breather on the tank is clogged. My question is how does the tank breather system work on the F3? I know on the older bikes it worked through the filler cap and U had to replace the top gasket if this happened. Does the F3 work in the same way or does it have a breather elsewhere?

It has two breather tubes. One for the main and one for reserve. If you remove the screw at the rear and the front of the tank, you can life it up and see them both.

in addition to F3bikers post...yes those are the tubes. but before you lift it up, take off the left side tail fairing and look under the tank. Make sure the hoses are not kinked! IT is common that when putting the tank back on these hoses get kinked up under there and seal themselves..therefore your tank cannot breathe causing the said problems..Good luck brotha!

I discovered the problem. The one breather pipe had a kink and was being pinched by the tank. I just gave it a tag from the bottom and it opened again. I didn't even have to remove the tank Thanks guys...

Spedeoman the hoses are also there to help keep the fuel in the tank in case you dump the bike.

Nothing worse than dumping your bike and have the damn thing laying on you and then having fuel freely flowing all over as you lay there against the pavement wondering if your going to burn or not...

Cheers SIRR1

Alright thx for the info! How do you tell which outlet goes to which vent? or does it matter?
