Bogging issue in 1st gear
ive recently got this issue where sometimes (usually after cold starts, though it happened well after heated up yesterday) my bike will bog out in 1st gear. it seems no matter how much throttle i give it, it will just bog out. once i feel it start to do it, i will usually pull in the clutch and give extra gas to try and revive it but it only works sometimes.
im no mechanic so i would like some ideas on whats going on. im going to guess the first thing to check would be the air filter? maybe the fuel filter? (not sure where thats located?) or is this going to be a bigger issue?

Do you let the bike heat up before trying to ride? How long do you let it warm up? Does it do it constantly or just on first starts?
I let mine run for about 3 or 4 min before riding or else if i hit the throttle it just dies. My bike also does not like the hot hot weather. When i start it back up again i have to wait about 10 sec or so to get all the Hot fuel out of the bowls. Isnt a problem cause i just put on my helmet during that time lol. But if i start it say im out and stopped at my friends house for an hour or so i come out and start it. It starts right away but if i twist the throttle it will die. If i let it idle for 10 sec or so and twist the throttle it will rev flawless. Something to do with the carbs and the gas vaporizing in the bowls id say. My old carbys were horrible even when the bike was hot i couldnt give it throttle because it would stall. Id have to "rev" on the throttle to get it to move. Kinda good though cause i learned how to ride the bike that way. Now with the new carbs its so easy i dont even have to give it gas on flat roads lol.
