Bike left me stranded..please help
Hi..new member...have a 95 F3 which I've had for a few months/1,500 miles or so...my radiator fan doesn't work and if I sit for a while the bike will heat up..went on a long 100 mile+ ride today...on the way back was stuck in some traffic to where the temp needle got a little close to red but not quite there...driving on the final stretch on I-95, doing about 80 or so, cool engine temp, the bike just lost power. Pulled over...battery and temp were fine and had full tank of gas...tried to crank it about 10 times or so...engine would turn but wouldn't start..finally had it towed home just now. I'm thinking its either starter or something with the fuel delivery system...anyone have any ideas...I work a bit on my own car but don't have the first clue bout working on a bike....thanks for ur help.

If it was running fine and then quit, it sounds like a fuel problem. You may want to check under your tank to see if the gas line and vacuum lineis still hooked in. That bike doesnt have an electric fuel pump to my knowledge. Check your local bike graveyard for a coolant temperature sensor or just wire up a toggle swith should solve your fan delima.

If the bike cranks then it isn't the starter. Check for spark on all cyclinders and condition of your spark plugs before you do ANYTHING. One bad plug and your bike will run like crap or not at all. Check that and let me know. Also your cooling fan doesnt kick on until the neddle gets pretty close to the red. Normal
