Default bike is acting weird

Ok I have a new battery and brand new stator. I installed a volt gauge too and it is around 11 volts. My battery was dead and jumped it and let it get to 11 volts. I rode it around and right away shutting it off and starting it was fine. After riding it for about 40 minutes I stopped and turned it off and it was still reading 11 volts and it wouldnt start. It turned over or tried to for like 10 seconds and died, but my lights where bright still. It seems like if I ride it awhile and then it wont start. Any ideas anybody, I am at a loss! I think maybe a r/r or starter relay or do I have to maybe charge my battery fully then go from there. I do have a HID bulb in it, one of those bright blues would that be it maybe?

Thanks anybody for help

The reg on the F3's (& others) is notorious for failing, it would be number 1 on the list for the most common problem here (do a search). Your description fits the symptoms. They over heat & start to fail, bike cools down, all's fine then they over heat again until they go totally RS.

I agree change the R/R first.
