OK, Ive got an issue. Made a different thread, but figured out that my side stand switch is blowing my ign. fuse. I leave the stand plugged in and down, the power comes on and NO blown fuse. Put up the stand, pow, goes the fuse. took the green connector apart, No blown fuse.

So, I read this thread, thought hey, thats an idea, disconnected the SSS(side stand switch) connected the green wire to the green/white stripe wire. Turn on the power and pow goes the ign. fuse. WTF? I dont get it. Perhaps I crossed the wrong wires? Its the two outside wires from the green side stand switch connector that i crossed together. I just want to hear this thing start again, its been almost a month.

 

sounds like there is a short either in the g/w wire or something else downstream of the g/w. does the bike start and run while its in neutral? withor without the clutch pulled in?

 

Got it solved, thanks again Will, you know your stuff. Spot on with the wire choice, ive been chasing my tail for weeks, but learned just about everything to do this bikes harness.
