oh ****, weird crash, don't see races damage but not bearings :\

why would i need a new stem?

ive seen how-to's of replacing the stem race. i dont understand why new races would not come with new bearings. this would be the first instance ive ever seem of this...

 

any other suggestions or insight?

 

as in, they may come if you buy a new stem, hence why you haven't seen one.

I also never said race would come with bearings...

yep, just replaced all my bearings, when you order a bearing it's just a bearing

 

well, maybe its whoever you got your bearings from. or bikes in general. im from the automotive industry, and whenever you get a new bearing thats not a press in, its the rollers and a race, or 2 races if need be. (which makes up the complete bearing) so its not like it doesnt happen..
like i said, not knowing that much on the "bike" side, i wanted to verify if it did or did not in fact come with the races. (being as thats what im mostly after.) so i guess in my search, ill just have to get verification that my replacement bearing, is in fact, and entire bearing. not JUST the roller *****. if it is, ill be moving on to the next vendor. i guess i do have a fall back though. hopefully i wont have to go that route, but ill just have to convert to a taper roller setup..
