Hey, I'm in california and i know they banned the sale of Mercury to general public. But what i'm not sure about is if this is the same through out the states? I have a set of sync gauges and thanks to someone dropping it, i no longer have any mercury. The new non-mercury gauges suck, and the electronic ones are too expensive. So i was wondering if anyone has access to mercury? Thanks

 

That's a tuff one, I bought my sync gauges about two years ago off eBay from a vendor in Canada...took a while to get but they came with mercury and all. Maybe you can do some reaserch and find a vendor north of the borader that can help.

 

just look for a old style mercury furnace switch or a mercury tilt alarm switch crack it open and take what you need and then get a glass test tub and a cork and store the rest.

 

Thank you, i'll expand my search and be more inventive on where i can find some. I was bugging a bunch of people to call their friends and family in mexico...since i'm in so cali, most of my co-workers are illegals, or on work visas. But even they are flaking out on me.

I've got some, but I'll have to filter it out of the local water. 6-8 weeks for delivery.




Seriously though.... our water here is that bad. I ONLY drink store bought water.
