anybody changed to r6 throttle tube?
I have tried to 1/6th throttle tube and it is tight. Too tight for it to work. The throttle butterfly wheel on the carbs is too big for it to be functionable. I adjusted all the cables from front to back with absolutely no avail. I went with the 1/5th 2005 R6 tube instead and works fine for my needs. Full open throttle with a third of the twist. If you somehow find a way for it to work, please share.
ah
shame you couldnt make it work as its for a race bike i didnt want 1/5th. i'm sure me and my old man can make it work.
hopefully it should be easier as im using older pre-stretched cables
if i get it to work i will do a picture walk through

i was told its 06 R6's but when i had a gander at throttles i found the throttle is the same from 06-09 according to ebay listings and the 13s is an 08 model
didnt just get the tube i got the housing off the r6 as well
top bloke whoever the breaker is
urghhh so i tried to fit it last night i didnt bother with throttle cable B as that is the push part and tbh is not needed as my cb600 has been running without a push cable for about 9 months now without fail.
so i got it fitted no problem with cable size on cable b and it went on without an issue until i screwed the cbr throttle housing together and then the dam thing wouldnt move
the 1/6th is too big and is difficult to rotate in there so my choices now are make the r6 throttle housing fit and have universal kill switch and ignition switch or make the cbr housing somehow bigger to fit the larger diameter of the r6 tube

I tried using a CBR1000RR throttle housing and could easily wire up a killswitch/Starter button. With even the 1000RR housing and cables I found the Butterfly throttle wheel was the problem, it was too big to get this to work unless you got a little longer cables. Found it too tight and no rebound to close the throttle. I really didn't want to mess with going and buying different cables just to see if it work.
The 1/5th throttle works fine for my needs, but always looking for the 1/6th final solution.

i read the f4i works with the 1/6th tube so might see if the housing is bigger if not use the r6 throttle housing with a stand alone kill and ignition switch
Yes, the larger housing is needed, but not the problem. The cables are both a tad short. If the possibility of finding a cable pair a half inch longer it has the possibility to work. I would love for it to work, but it is a pipe dream till someones finds the correct cable length.
