Any idea what it's worth?
I have a '96 CBR600SJR (Smokin' Joe's Replica) with about 1,800 miles on it. Brand new condition. I'm putting it on the market. Any clue what it's worth? KBB suggests $3,800 without a mileage adjustment. It may be that it's just another '96 F3, but they only made 500 of 'em. Your feedback is appreciated.
Gee, if it has such low miles (not a new speedo) it would sell in Ontario, Canada for around $4500-5500. Some guy here is asking $8000 for a 1998 version (1500 made) with 9,800 kms. He is a tad high, for it should be about $5500-6500. Mint ones are hard to find. Modified (eg. cut fender, flush signals, etc.) fetch a smaller dollar. Stock is worth the most from a collector`s standpoint. They areVERY collectible, in my opinion.
1996 was the first year of the SJR. It was built to celebrate Miguel Duhamel's 1995 600 Super Sport run when he won the 9 of 11 events and his second title in a row. This model was a limited edition with the full decal kit and Duhamel's signature tank sticker.
Isay put it out there for what you think is fair. The market will dictate if your price is too high. Bare in mind KBB's value includes dealer costs. I would say take the trade in value & dealer retail value and average it.
From KBB site:
"This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business."

I would just put it out there for around kbb and see what happens. They are pretty rare and I get compliments on mine all the time. I have yet to see another one on the road and have only seen one other one for sale on craigslist in my town. good luck
