so I got my bike naked but running with a tank on it. when I get home from work Im going to let it warm up and give it new oil and replaced the gashed up stator cover with a new one I just got done polishing. Im assuming there is a gasket between the metal, will I have to replace it if it is paper? Or is it reusable? It would be nice to knock this all out at once so if anyone knows or has experience, advice would be great. thanks

I would recommend replacing the gasket if it is paper, I think you might have to put a liquid gasket on but I do not have my manual to hand so do not know for sure.

 

i just replaced my stator cover this year, there is a paper gasket between the cover and metal. make sure to clean off the surface. i just bought a gasket with my stator cover.
