98 f3 trouble ! plz help!
Hey guys... I have a 1998 cbr 600 f3 thats giving me problems.... I bought it about a month ago from a guy and it seemed to be running fine... he said he just had a tune up done it.. .everything but the plugs. I bought new plugs for it, put them in, and also bought a new fuel filter and installed it... Over the past month its seemed to be losing more and more power and now its running like complete garbage... it seems like its not getting gas or something, im not sure. It will stahl and after its already warmed up, youll have to use the choke to get it started again. Ill be sitting at a red light and itll stall, again have to use the choke and hope that it will start. It lags horribly when you rev it up and it bogs in 1st to 3rd gear under 8k rpms... I checked the fuel pump and it seems to be pumping fine... I dont know if there is a fuel injector issue or throttle issue or what... Any suggestions on what to look for or any help at all would be greatly appreciated ... I barely made it home today , it stalled at least 5 times and was struggling the whole way ! I just wanna get back on the road again w/ you guys ! Thanks !

regulator rectifier. Our R/R has a tendacy to burn out pretty quick.
"On the right side of your bike (when your sitting on it) if you remove the right tail piece you will see two black square shaped things bolted onto your frame. The largest one is CDI (computer brain) the other one is your R/R. Don't touch it after you've been riding for awhile because it gets red hot! It controls the amount of voltage your bike generates when your riding it. When that thing goes out, your bike will act like it'son some serious drugs! Your battery will go dead, your gauges will start doing some funny things, the bike will act like it's running out of gas! They sell a heavy duty one that a whole lot better than the stock. I have one on my bike. But even the heavy duty ones can go bad. If you search this forum you will find that alot of folks has switched over to the GSX-R one just for that reason. Just pray that your not on a long ride when that thing goes out. I was about 30 min from home when mine went out, but I made it home. It wasn't pretty though, sweating bullets all the way!" jalen11598
