97 CBR 600 won't start
Hi, new around here.
Last saturday I bought a 97 cbr 600 f3 .The bike was in a shed for soooome time!!!
The battery was shot, so no test to see if the bike fired up. The man said she would run nice, it was just the case of a dead battery.
Needless to say I bought it anyway.Got it home, check the oil level, it was surprisingly clear and new.The gas tank has the flap door broken , so that won't close. It has about half tank of ''dead '' fuel,it´s been like so for ages...
Jump cables, after a 1 or 2 trying to start her, she coughs... then by miracle, it starts... smells awful, that dead fuel really burns bad.
But she runs...won't go above 3krpm, it backfires, due to that bad fuel, so I thought, but idles surprisingly well.
Next morning, I thought I would clean the spark plugs and fresh fuel.... she never started again...
On further inspection I noticed a bad wire that produced no spark at all, the other 3 were fine, although it seems to make a very small spark,
The fuel pump relay is also dead, I bipassed it but no result, the fuel pump runs well, I feed it directly from battery but to no avail.
I fed the carbs directly by gravity , but no result... I don't know what else to do, honestly....
If didn't film it working I wouldn't believe she had fired up...
Please help!!!

Hi and welcome to the forum. You are describing the classic problem. Carbureted engine that has sat for long time without running. They, the carburetors, need to be pulled and rebuilt.
