96 muffler ?

Can anyone share knowledge as to wether other year muffler cans fit a 96 cbr 600. Thinking of modifying one but don't want to fubar my good one.

I believe the 95-98 CBR's all share the same can.

Yep, 95-98. So if you find a aftermarket that fits between those years, talk em down on the price cause its a old bike and then make them feel like they are getting a deal by you taking it off of their hands.

2" pipe,
you can find the pipe and cheap exhausts from autozone if you want to customize

Thanks guys. I'm here because my son just got his with 12k on it. Wants it a little louder LOL, know how it is. Some how he didn't get any mechanical genes or as long as dad will do it .........

louder? take the stock off and throw a race exhaust on it for 2 days, see how he likes riding around with 130db in his ears.

he will like stock after that.
