96 cbr900 fairings on 98 f3?
he is saying cbr900* fairings, not the conversion to a newer f3.
and to answer that question, I do not know.
ive heard of the engine swap, and many parts are similar if not the same, but youd have to find someone whos done the swap.

No and yes! No it's not a straight bolt up. F3 has two main pieces:top (were your headlight and mirrors are),and the bottom(were the inspection door is).Then they both have different subframes. The 900 has three main pieces: top,( a middle),and a bottom fairing.Yes, you can make it work , but that's up to your time, attention to detail, and skill level.If you can weld pretty good i dont see why it cant be done.
