I recently picked up a 96 f3 and im having some issues with it. the first issue is that the bike stays pretty much cold the whole time you ride it but if you let it sit the fan kicks on and it comes up to temp fine, my first thought would be that the thermostat is stuck open. The second problem is that when you drive it at highway speeds it accelerates through 1st and 2nd okay but once you get up to about 60 or 70 it just bogs down and it doesn't want to accelerate. it almost feels like its bucking and sometimes it gets a bit of power for a split second. I was thinking there is a fuel/carb issue and/or the carbs need a good cleaning, or one of the cylinders isnt firing correctly, im going to investigate further tonight but if you guys have any ideas it would be a big help. The bike has about 33k miles on it and i live in the mountains of colorado so i know the altitude will affect it.
