Default 96 to 97-98 rear

What needs to be done to convert a 96 f3 rear to a 97-98 rear?

the tail lights are different. the 97-98 has alittle more modern looking tail light.

The seat is diffrent also, the 97-98 hugs the tank with forward points on each side. The tail section sides and center are also diffrent to fit the 97-98 tailight

I did the same thing to my '96. I went with the rear of a '98, although I think the 97's are the same.All you have to do is switch out the undertray for a '98 model, and that undertray will allow your rear plastics to mount up to the snap-in holes. You'll also need a rear tail light, and of course the plastics. I'm not sure about the turn signals, as mine are flush mounted to the plastic sides, so I didn't have to worry about it. I knew very little about bikes when I did it, and it really was a piece of cake.
