Hello, I am new on this site and have a question

A co-worker has a 1996 CBR600 and the engine needs to be replaced, we are seeing many on ebay and wanted to know what years and models are universal and what to look out for.

I have swapped out motorcycle engines in the past and wanted to know if there is anything special or more complicated about this bike.
