the bike ignition works just when you go to push the start button it doesnt turn over any help?? starter switch bad in handle? celenoid bad? stop start switch bad? battery bad? please help i jst bought the bike trying to get it on the road

 

start with the battery... i had a problem like that where it would crank but not turn over, charged up the battery and bingo

 

ya mine doesnt even crank.... the lights dim when i hit the switch but ill get a battery if its not that ill take it back then try and buy a new selenoid if not that maybe is it the starter???? thanks

 

do you hear any sound at all once you push the button. Have you checked all your fuses?

 

If the lights dim your battery is more than likely bad. Test it with a multimeter and it should be at least 12.5 i think with the key on.

 

ok so i checked the battery the volts at like 13 something constant before and after pushing the button it doesnt make any sound when i push it...i bypassed the selenoid it turns over i bought a new selenoid it does the same thing, not to sure on what fuses it would involve or where they are i jst bought the bike yesterday also if it is the start/killswitch on the bars is there anyway to temp rig up a setup to ride it for now??? or a place to get one super super cheap thanks
