Ive been using his guide to help with mine. Although the way he mounted his RR tail is so much better than mine lol. I cant carry any passengers for now so i gotta go back and redo it. But for now its fine for solo riding.

heres his post

well its been a while since ive posted any updates so here we are.
I started to set the fairings into place, alot harder than it looked lol. Couldnt get them set up the correct looking way but this is what i have so far.

I`ll get an updated pic of the right side where i trimmed to help clear the clutch cover.

I bought the aftermarket fiberglass reproduction fairings.

Note to people looking to get them, They arent bad but the edges are really rough and going to be a pain the the a$$ to paint. If i could return them and get stock ones i would.

Looks real good can't wait to see the finished product.
Question though what brand are the fairings? and is the tail section fiberglass as well from the same manufacturer?

did u have to trim the bottom plastic of the seat so it would go snug against the gas tank?

Weegee,

The back RR tail is plastic. I got all my stuff through ebay. Tail is from store Delkevic. Its a very nice piece and i recommend them for the whole set.

They do sell a complete F4i unpainted white or black ABS plastic fairing set for like $329 and cheap shipping.

Now the front...... The seller i got them off of is one off the worst ever and i wouldnt buy anything from them again. Name of store was Pit-Eck they are located in FL. It took me to open a case on them just to find out if the fairings were shipped and i waited 2 weeks before opening the case. The fairings themselves are ok, They are not made to fit even an F4i. They have to have alot of work. The edges are the worst. Because its a fiberglass product and they dont gelcoat them the edges are really rough and not paint ready.

Daazndood,
I didnt trim any on the seat. It fits really good and doesnt budge. All i did was make a brace for the seat to snap into on the front and make another one for the back. The seat snaps into place and cannot be removed without taking the rear fairing off. Im going to have to remount the Battery because if i need to jump it or something right now id have to take the tail off lol. May mount it under the solo cowl not sure yet.
