you will need the f4i guage.
900rr temp sensor (not a necessity, but if you want your temp sensor to read correctly)

(also)
tools to remove your frond fairings..
wire cutters.
lots of electrical tape / connectors
the tutorial on cbrworld (just google f3 -> f4i gauge swap)
get the wiring diagrams for each and just match em up...
24pack of bud light.

time, patience, and this forum will get cha goin!

Update time....

Got the 03-04 600RR tail in.
Ordered the seat and solo cowl also.

I`ll put up details on how i mounted it since there is not alot of info on it.

(this is my first tail swap or swap in general) just a guide to help you get started.

I had some very specific things that i wanted to do with this.

When i ordered the tail i didnt want any china/hong kong garbage.
Not going to the dealer, they charge way way to much.
I didnt want to pay $100+ on ebay for a stock used cracked crap.
I ended up buying a ABS plastic tail off DELKEVIC on ebay.
They are made in USA and are really thick unlike the imported china ones.
cost $40 for the tail and $30 to ship.

Got the seat off ebay, Some guy posted it for $12 no rips or wears.
Solo cowl came from ebay $49.
Solo cowl bracket $3.00 off ebay.

The seat, cowl, and bracket are oem honda parts.
Now to hope they fit the aftermarket tail......

Ok first thing i did was take off all the old fairings, CDI, fuel cut relay, and tail light harness. I just moved them to the inside of the frame for now.

Once all that is done you can lay the RR fairing on the bike. Be careful not to break it while sneaking it past the tabs on the right side of the bike.

I ended up cutting the stock cdi mount and the stock fairing mount off.

All this can be done with basic hand tools and a cordless or if your old school a corded drill. A dremel will help out alot and a 4 inch cut off wheel.

I went out to lowes to get all the "Mounts"

I got a 3 ft piece of 1/8 thick flat steel 3/4inch wide.

Got a combo screw kit thing. Make sure its Stainless if you ride in the rain.

Got 1 pack of 4 1/2" wide by 2" long flat zinc coated brackets.

#10 Self tapping Zinc coated screws. 1inch and 3/4 inch.

I had the drill bits and drill.

Also bought a $25 cut off grinder and a $2 4inch metal cutting wheel.

Ok now the fun starts.

First set the seat on the frame. Mark your frame where the 2 Hooks are located on the frame. You will need to cut a flat bar to go across the top so the seat can hook onto this.
Once marked measure and check again. lol
Once cut drill out the flat steel on each end wider than your screws.
reason for that is you want the screws to grab into the frame fully and not into the flat steel.
I used my drill and lined up the bar and drilled it into my frame. Make sure you dont strip the heads off or you will never get your battery out lol.

The seat locks into the back of the fairing and into the Bar that was just made.

next set is to "eye in" where the fairing looks straight and level.

No real easy way of doing it. I spend a good 2 hours adjusting it.

Once i did i had to make a bracket for the back of the driver seat.

I used the same bar steel just doubled it up. Same process with cutting and drilling.

The reason i doubled them up is to provide support for the back of the seat instead of having the rider weight straight on the plastic.

Once i had that mount done i put the seat and fairing on. Has alot of support now.
Seat isnt as comfortable as the stock banana seat but looks better.

Next thing i did was to trim out the RR fairing in the front below the seat. It has to much material there and you cant mount a bracket there without it being shaped like a Z.

After that was cut i was able to mount my 1/2 wide flat bracket to the fairing and bolt it into the factory bolt holes in the frame.

With those in the fairing is solid in the front.

Now i plan on painting the brackets to match the frame. you can only see about an inch of them which is fine with me cause my legs are there so lol.

i havent figured out the mount for the cowl yet. I think im gonna have to get a U shaped bracket and mount the stock latch to it.

if im correct that will hold the back of the fairing in place. If you dont ride with a passenger. lol

I take it this will be your SF bike and not a "g/f on the back" kinda bike right?
I'd be scared to be on the back lol, but it looks like a sexy sexy stunt bike

Yeah i havent been riding long enough yet to feel comfortable with a passenger. I did just make the rear seat brackets and they came out awesome for the solo cowl bracket. i`ll get some pictures up.

Yeah i just got done dropping some money on the bike. Got the F4i sides, nose, headlight, lower V fairing, Fairing stay, Gauges, and windshield.

Im going out now to mount them all and see what i can do. i`ll take some pictures.

If you want a really good thread on how to do the F4I swap Member DementedF3 has an excellent write up on it.

Ive been using his guide to help with mine. Although the way he mounted his RR tail is so much better than mine lol. I cant carry any passengers for now so i gotta go back and redo it. But for now its fine for solo riding.

heres his post
