160 rear tire...?
so from what i gather....the search thing isnt helping so im going to ask....what difference would a 160 make on my bike? i have a 170 now but its about time for a new one, ive heard that the smaller will make it turn better...if that's true then why would you want to make your biek turn worse with the bigger tire? just for looks? and exactly how would it turn better?
It's not that it would necessarily, "turn better," it's that the bike was designed for a 160 tire. If you want to maximize the potential of the F3, leave the tire size alone.
And yes, pretty much the only reason for buying a larger tire is for looks. I honestly don't know of any other reason.

the 170 is slightly squeezed onto that size wheel and it affects to profile fo the tire which in turn slows your turn in. The 160 is far superior to the 170 handling wise. 170 is more or less for people that want the fatter tire look. I would although suggest running a 120/70-17 front tire, that did help alot.
okey dokey, so i guess im gunna give the 160 a shot on the next go round, i could give two hoots less what my tire looks like...i just want it to do its job and keep my **** stuck to the asphault...how will it effect wheelies/wear/chikonstrips? what will the front tire do for me?
The front tire will give you a larger contact patch and better feel for the front end. The rear will not effect wheelies but probably get proper wear out of the tire. Chicken strips well thats up to you and your riding style but probably going to have less being that you will be able to turn in better.

My bike was dropped an inch in the front and raised in the rear with the F4i shock. All you need to do it drill out the fender mounting holes so you can slide the fender up a little. The rear of the fender will rub alittle and eventually wear down. That is the only downside to this.Other than that the bike handled great with this set up. Here's a pic all said and done before the exhaust and a few other minor mods.
